Honestly, like shit. I've had it for a few years now. If I'd have the money to sell it and get something else, I would, but I don't have the money. Guess I'll need to 3D print a sign for the car.

I hope someone crashes into it, no-one is hurt, but the damage is so bad I have to get a new car.

You can buy a different car with the money you get from selling it, no? And I assume that will not exactly be a bad car either.

I think they mean not having enough money to fill the gap between what he receives from selling it and what is required to buy his desired alternative car.
