With U.S. president-elect Donald Trump's inauguration just days away, the federal government announced it is sending a slew of drones and two Black Hawk helicopters to the shared border to begin beefed-up patrols β€” along with 11th-hour hope it will be enough to placate the incoming administration.

It is painfully obvious that our close economic relationship with the US is a blessing and a curse. There has always been a need for us to diversify our TRADE and yet every level of government has not tried hard enough to do just that. We need to strengthen economic ties with South America and Europe. Example: why aren't we jumping to build LNG terminals in Eastern Canada so we can ship our gas to Europe? Import more vegetables from Mexico and central america. We have a direct rail link for cheap transport!

I personally am putting some serious consideration into getting my unrestricted and restricted firearms license with my tax rebate cheque.

Maybe I'll never use them, but by gawd if Trump is gonna attack us the fuck I'm gonna be sitting on my fat ass doing nothing about it.

What is a gun going to do against air strikes?

Might not be the answer they wanted, but it's the answer they needed.

Everyone assumes the empire is all-powerful, but they really are not. Mao called them a "paper tiger" 60 or 70 years ago. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Cuba and to some extent Iraq and others have all proven that resistance is not futile. With the insane clown posse taking power the world is not going to be quite as eager to back U.S. aggression, I hope.

Ok...so I was with you....riiiight up to this bit here:

With the insane clown posse taking power

..... motherfucker.....do not disparage the ICP like that. They are pretty well known as anti-Trump, and speak out against him and his fascist rhetoric. They're fucking weird, but not like that, and there's absolutely no reason to dehumanise them in that manner..... Otherwise spot on πŸ‘

Names can also be descriptions, I was using those words as a description, not as a reference to the band. (Of which I know nothing other than the name and their supposed confusion over magnets or some shit.) If they are anti-tRump they have that going for them at least.

Names can also be descriptions

Absolutely, /s wasn't really appropriate for my last comment, as while I'm not a Juggalo(/Juggalette/Juggala as their rabid fan base want to be referred to as) I do definitely feel they are given more shit than they deserve.
I wasn't trying to be aggro, and I'm sorry if it came off as me trying to start a fight.
ICP is just a band that makes silly music and fosters a highly inclusive, open minded and progressive community. Are they weird? Absolutely. Are they intentionally othering themselves? From what I know, yeah, as a statement against society. Just think that using the name as a descriptor is along the same lines as calling Trump a sociopath, you shouldn't dehumanise sociopaths and ICP like that....

What do the Vietnamese know about being on the longest land border in the world, within striking distance of every single modern Drone/Bomber/Rocket, with the US?

Sending Troops and equipment overseas to attack is a costly and logistically difficult endeavour. If Vietnam was on the border of the US when the US invaded, Vietnam wouldn't exist today.
