From someone defending big cars because some of them are old and doesn't understand the simple problem is they're becoming more common.

Look up "tragedy of the commons"

Do you not see how it applies?

This from someone willfully ignoring these people pay their share of property and fuel.taxes that pay for all this, in many cases much more tax than people complaining

[–] Ross_audio@lemmy.world 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

If they literally take up more space than everyone else, then they're not paying their fair share unless we charge them more for parking.

It doesn't matter how much you pay for other things. Smokers and drinkers pay more tax on a relative scale, they don't get to take up more space on an airplane unless they buy another seat.

Human rights commission says different, motorcycles aren't charged less.

[–] Ross_audio@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Motorcycles are charged less.

Human rights don't apply to parking.

And I'd be interested if the Human Rights were ruling against oversized passengers on airlines being charged extra for taking up more space.

Now you're just lying and being purposefully obtuse . Half the time the parking pricks fine bikers for sharing a spot.

Motorcycles pay the same at the meter so

[–] Ross_audio@lemmy.world 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Sorry you live in a silly place. Doesn't change the argument.

[–] Sagifurius@lemm.ee -2 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

Yeah, you like that logical rebuttal of your bullshit, huh? Take it.

[–] Ross_audio@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

You can state irrelevant facts only true for a city or two if you like. You just end up wrong.

[–] Sagifurius@lemm.ee -1 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

Having a hard time finding reasons your argument doesn't stand, huh? Lying about parking meters isn't really helping your case. Like wtf does that? Everyone knows how they work...except people who don't pay any fuel tax or parking fees at all.

[–] Ross_audio@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I've got nothing to rebut from you.

I've stated my case simply and you can't find a relevant rebuttal.

I don't think you understand, different places have different prices for parking. Where I live bikes get charged less.

[–] Sagifurius@lemm.ee -1 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

You've done nothing of the sort, also you're lying, again.

[–] Ross_audio@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

It's quite simple. Don't take up more space than provided.

If you want more space, park somewhere else.

You'll quickly find out how little people care about a minority of people with stupid vehicles, making stupid decisions by buying them, not being able to park conveniently.

Those people can take their business and nuisance elsewhere and the town will probably be better off as a result.

Your ride is a pedal bike, ain't it?
