Yesterday(3/27 THU), KCTU held a general strike and protest in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul. Around 50,000 of citizens joined in even though it was Thursday.

The Constitutional Court hasn't designated the sentence date for Yoon's impeachment adjudication. It's been 4 months since the impeachment vote was approved by the parliament. I am afraid that they might strike it down, which means another martial law being declared.

I was there picketing in front of the U.S. embassy. It's pretty obvious that the U.S. is also responsible for Yoon's coup.

Anyways, stand together with us comrades, So that we can crush fascist dictatorship and take our victory!

I don’t have class today but I came to school anyway to do some work because staying home makes getting assignments done really difficult. So while I was in the library I heard drums and chanting but couldn’t make out the words so I honestly thought it was the school’s marching band or something like that, maybe a club.

I didn’t pay it much mind until I came downstairs (the library is two floors). In one of the hallways just outside the library I saw a bunch of posters and stickers strewn about the walls and door way, a keffiyeh was even hanging off one of the doors to the library. A bunch of students were sitting on the floor chanting pro-Palestine slogans like “no justice no peace.” I then saw a bunch of cops walk by them and I guess they were being asked to leave.

Then one of the protesters started to tell everyone to bear witness that our school called the cops on them. It was disappointing to see this although I shouldn’t be surprised, haven’t all universities been calling the cops on their students when they protest for Palestine?

What I was surprised about was that there was a protest at all because I don’t believe our school is one of the ones that gives money to Israel, although I do know one of the schools where I am does. This isn’t me being against the sit in at all! Just illustrating why I was unaware it was happening. My school does have a Palestine club though so I think it was organized by them, I believe they also attend street protests as well.

I have no idea if they got arrested as I had to go home, but I hope they’re alright. Fuck my school for sicking the cops on them, I don’t know why they wouldn’t just send a faculty member or the Dean down to talk about their demands. Maybe I’m naive about all this.

EDIT: I managed to find the Instagram of the club, they made posts about the protest and it turns out that our school’s library system has links to the occupation! Holy shit. School admin still refuses to speak with the students, I remember there was a protest last year so it’s been radio silence for a long time. I will keep an eye on their posts and hopefully something fruitful comes from this.

I'm having trouble getting the medical care I need and I just wondered if anyone knows my rights or what to do about it.

A few months ago the endocrinologist lowered my thyroxine dose as she said the high dose was putting me at risk of another stroke. However over the past few months I've become more and more unwell on this lower dose. I'm so tired I can barely do anything, so brain foggy I can't concentrate on anything, my cardiac symptoms have significantly worsened, my mood is much worse - I feel more depressed and frustrated than before, along with a load of other symptoms. These are all symptoms of my thyroxine dose being too low. However since then the endo has discharged me, so I can't get any help from there, at least not without spending another year on the waiting list and I can't wait that long.

I can't get a GP appointment either, it's impossible. They no longer give appointments in advance, they tell you to phone or come to the surgery at 8.30am and ask for an appointment. I have done this multiple times and there are always so many other people clamouring for an appointment that by the time I've been on hold on the phone or waited in line at the surgery (even if I turn up before 8.30) by the time I get to the front of the queue all the appointments are already gone. This has been happening for a while, even before these thyroid issues started again, when I've tried to get GP appointments for other issues it's been impossible and I've given up. But I can't give up on this, it's too severe.

People here may remember I ended up writing a letter to the doctor when I was having issues with my other meds because it was the only way to contact them, it took weeks for a response. I can't write a letter about this and wait weeks, I need help now.

I don't know what else to do, I am so desperate and frustrated. Why is it so hard to get medical help now?

As someone suffering from PTSD (not yet officially diagnosed), schizophrenia and psychosis (officially diagnosed), sometimes I have trouble controlling my actions. I sent a bunch of hate mail to my past teacher because she bullied me in the past. I believe it was racially motivated since I was Asian, though when she acted she was clever enough to do it with plausible deniability. When I got arrested the police commented on how broad my shoulders were, and put me on two handcuffs instead of one. My efforts in gym-celling have paid off. Doing all those pull ups and stuff has rewarded me with stronger muscles.

Doing drugs (synthetic marijuana), getting arrested, going to a psych ward... I'm living the full American dream.

I suspect that all of the trauma from the bullying made me develop mental illnesses. I used delta-8, a drug, to cope but it made it worse.

I've been to a psych ward multiple times now, to the point where it nearly bankrupted my parents. I've thought of suicide many times before to atone for my sins, so I'll be less of a burden.

It's no wonder that in a toxic environment, I would grow up to become a damaged human. I have to leave America as soon as possible.

The American gamble has failed me. This country is a shitty investment.

One thing that shocked me a bit, or maybe I should've expected this, was that my white attorney was buddy-buddy with the prosecutor. It was nepotism in full view. It felt so wrong, even though this was to my advantage. Originally, I was going to ask a black attorney to represent me in court, but my Father stopped me and told me to hire a white lawyer instead. I thought that it would've been fine if it was a black person. How could I have been so naive. Once again, I am reminded here in America, of how white supremacy works. I've been secluded in my NEET cave for so long that I've forgotten the fundamentals of this country's workings. Now that I've realized it. Yeah, black lawyers would face an unfair level of play in the justice system.

Don't get me wrong, I know Anton LaVey is a huge piece of shit regarding his flirtations with fascist attitudes and eugenics. I've known a few of them and they tend to have straight up obnoxious opinions on communists despite the fact that we both share a lot of the same criticisms of religion. Then there's LaVeyanist groups attacking leftist groups as well.

Generally, it seems like there's a lot of left-leaning ones with a good mass of reactionaries with a anti-theist bend. Is there a reason the anti-communism comes into play here though?

Could also purely be anecdote. Reason I post is because I'm curious on the thoughts you all have.

Not necessarily communist but I am interested in learning about buddhism but don't know where to start, and I think some comrades on here have mentioned it before

Some gems, top comment aside:

"Our glorious peacekeepers in Rwanda, their barbarous peacekeepers in Sudan"

A lot of cope, but some of the subsequent threads on one of the biggest subreddits with begrudgingly tolerable views towards China is...interesting.

That’s what my professor said when he gifted me these books. This was after visiting him during office hours to get help on how to write my work placement report as I did not know how I needed to cite sources while writing said personal report, I also lamented about how this semester has been killing me (work wise this has been the worst by far). My report is also due the same day I have two final exams which means more pain. He said just to email him (for a written record) so he can grant me an extension because he finds that to be a valid reason.

When he presented the books I asked if they were a parting gift since after this semester we will never see each other again. He said no because even though he’s going on sabbatical that doesn’t mean he’s not working, so I’ll see him around. But I can take them as a parting gift if I wanted. So I did and headed to the library to work on my paper that’s due Friday. My backpack was practically exploding and my back is in so much pain from carrying these plus a few other books.

I just found out about the official top-level Soviet Union domain that is still in use today!

It seems that since 2022 you can't register new .su domain names and it's future is uncertain. Still, I think it's cool that it exsits to this day (:

A nice example would be that sovietwave internet radio: https://sovietwave.su/

Just a curiosity I wanted to share with me comrades

I'm still waiting to hear about what's happening with my disability benefits. As mentioned on here previously, I've recently had foot surgery and have another coming up next month. The surgical sites got infected several times after surgery so I need to do everything I can to keep the areas clean. I need some laundry disinfectant. It helps to keep my foot infections and eczema-related skin infections from spreading too much. It's called Eradicil and it's available on amazon and from the manufacturer's own site, which takes credit and debit cards and can be ordered from internationally:

https://www.eradicil.com/order-eradicil

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ERADICIL-Antifungal-Laundry-Treatment-200ml/dp/B01HH23NYI

This site is more expensive but they take credit, debit, paypal and google pay:

https://footformula.co.uk/products/eradicil-antifungal-laundry-wash

I really need some sanitary pads, and the Cottons brand are the only ones that don't give me an allergic reaction. This site takes credit and debit cards, paypal and google pay. Shipping is free over £30. You don't need an account, and can checkout as a guest:

https://uk.iherb.com/pr/cottons-organic-overnight-pads-with-wings-heavy-unscented-10-pads/98324?gclsrc=3p.ds

I also need some dental care supplies, which are available on amazon, and from Boots.com which takes debit/credit card, paypal and apple pay:

https://www.boots.com/

If anyone is able to help with any of these things, please PM me. I can't accept actual money because it could get me in trouble with the DWP (British benefit nazis who check bank accounts to make sure we don't have any money coming in.) So I was hoping someone could order what I need, anything off the list, and just have it sent directly to me. I have made a post on mutual aid but it's often hard to get a response on there.

I'm not talking like during WW2 or prior. I am talking about during the Cold War, pre-Gorbachev.

Since the negative reputation at my previous fedi instance last year, and I joined transfem.social back in October 2024, I have to say that I need to indirectly set up boundaries on interacting with my posts on the fediverse.

Most of my recent posts were mostly under CW label.

All follower requests will be vibe-checked for the sake of my safety. Please do not interact with CW'd posts nor flirt if you are under 18.

This question is probably asked once per month by a variety of people, although that is of course understandable.

One could say that the next revolutionary wave has already sort-of begun because of the revolutions in the Sahel. But what I'm talking about is something bigger than that. I am talking about a faster and broader takeover of nations by socialist and/or anti-imperialist movements.

So like, obviously it's fair to still be mad about the Armenian genocide or fall of the USSR. So I'm more looking for little things most people ignore but You're hung up on for one reason for another.

I.e, my salt would be

● EA buying the developer of dungeon keeper and turning it into a crappy mobile game (I know someone made their own version like the old ones but still)

●In fact actually just the fact that big studios bought up a bunch of immersive Sim IPs and then killed them, either remaking them worse of draining them of all their original charm (Deus Ex, thief, prey*

I know prey got a good remake but that was 90% unrelated to the original prey and Bethesda got that by specifically killing the company making prey despite the fact that they had a functioning product)

●Subscription services being everywhere

● JJ Abrams in general and his stupid mystery box specifically

●Disney in general, and that their live action remakes are such a hit despite being so garbage

● The really annoyingly pervasive idea that a writer is in conflict with their reader and needs to beat them/not care about them (i.e, Emil Pagliarulo's paper airplanes, Steven Moffats obession with besting the audience in his Sherlock remake, Alex Aster's obsession with trying to make sure people won't predict her twists in her Lightlark series, etc.)

●The fact that I'm always told to "just use uber" when I say I don't like having to drive when it's both stupid expensive and the company is the bane of my existence

●Philanthropy

(Yes part of this post was just me venting, sorry)
