The Legendary Starfy, Super Princess Peach, Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times, Fossil Fighters, Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Tomodachi Life, Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar and Tale of Two Towns (separate games), Kirby Superstar Ultra. I know you said no Pokemon but…. all 3 Pokemon ranger games, they were and still are my shit, I hope they make one for the switch at some point…

Fun fact, I literally pulled out all my DS games to make this post lol, I omitted quite a few.

I’ve always wanted to play as Zelda before so I am looking forward to this one, although I am still on the fence a bit just because the mechanics. I’m surprised Zelda can’t shoot magic out of her staff/wand yet, taking into account what was shown in the trailers and teasers. Maybe she’ll gain more abilities as the game progresses. I’ll still probably get it but I’m not pre-ordering.

How dare you make a post about me 😩

It probably one of the best stories I have ever read, it’s tied with Hunter X Hunter for me. I love how well balanced it is in terms of beauty, wholesomeness, and horror. Of course, it’s not a horror manga but it depicts brutality in such a way that is almost captivating and purposeful. Yeah, I think “purposeful” explains it perfectly because it all ties together: even something small is meaningful in a big way. It’s just very refreshing to me too.

I love Witch Hat Atelier and I’m glad I’m not the only one. I think it’s a great story and the way magic is conceptualized is very unique and intuitive to me. The politics surrounding the story is also so intriguing and mysterious, since it is yet to be revealed (the brim hats?! Fucking wild). The art style is also refreshing as it’s quite different compared to a lot of mainstream anime/manga. I follow the author on twitter and seeing her ink the pages is so mesmerizing but also shows how much work goes into each drawing.

Every volume that is released keeps me on my toes. Right now I am fully caught up in the physical volumes, and have pre-ordered the next one which comes out next year. Also, I believe I saw on twitter that it is getting an anime adaptation which is very exciting, I would love to see its art style in motion.

In conclusion, the kids are the sweetest and deserve the world; I hope Qifrey and Olruggio kiss.

I’m biased but I think it’s a great game. There’s the farming but also mining and monster slaying, lots of secrets and treasures. It’s just a good time (but also stressful at points, but still fun).

Still playing Stardew valley, patiently waiting for the 1.6 update to come to switch. I also have it for PC so I played on the new meadowlands farm which is awesome, but I’m more used to switch controls so PC is weird and I’m more slow. It’s a big reason I want to get a steamdeck (also to move games off my computer since it’s practically dying from doing both school and games).

I would like to go back to playing Baldur’s Gate 3 but my PC is not strong enough. I still want to try out TF2 but playing online scare me. Once I get a steam deck I will definitely play the Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy, I played the first one religiously on my Xbox 360 when I was young so it’d be nice to play the sequels. I also want to play that “not my neighbour” game, I’ve never played “papers please” but games with a similar premise always intrigued me. Disco Elysium seems popular on here so I’ll check out too. I’m always looking for commie positive or neutral games to try so there’s that.

So nothing much has changed for me since the last thread. I’m in my spring/summer semester of school which means constant cramming (it’s an expedited semester) so not much time for games. I should have freed up time in July and august, though, which will be nice.

The difficulty does go up (it’s still not that hard) especially with rehearsal levels. What I don’t like is the lack of check points. If you miss a collectible you cannot backtrack, you have to restart/replay the level as a whole to get it. I’m just happy to get a Peach game, I’ve been waiting since Super Princess Peach came out a million years ago.

I was playing Baldur’s Gate 3 but had to stop because my poor laptop couldn’t handle it and school work (I might actually buy a steamdeck because of this). Currently I’m playing Princess Peach: Showtime (don’t judge me), Stardew Valley (waiting for the 1.6 update), Pokémon, and sonic origins (stuck on marble temple or whatever).

I don’t really have a favourite genre, but it looks like I lean towards role play games (I like character creation).

I am considering picking up TF2 (though I dislike online games, stranger danger) and fallout.

I’m looking forward to the new sonic generations game and a few Stardew-esque games that don’t have a release date yet.

I want to play subnautica with a heart monitor just to see how bad my thalassophobia is lol

Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, Pokémon emerald, and sonic the hedgehog 1. I’m stuck on marble zone act 3, I keep falling in the fucking lava, I miss a jump and I fall three levels down, it’s so hard for what 😭 I want to beat the original sonic games before playing frontiers.
