That's just untrue. They believe they're each others' fall guy. In reality Trump is owned by Russia (not exaggerating, look up "American Kompromat"), and Vance is owned by Peter Thiel. We can only hope that Trump's pettiness and Musk's ego can cause this whole house of cards to implode before they completely dismantle American institutions.

Can he just fucking... disappear? Just take all that money you've stolen from contractors, kompromat from Russia, and bribes from Saudi Arabia and just fuck off. He has a deep hole inside and will never truly be happy, which makes me feel great, but that's a small consolation compared to the destruction of democracy and the entire USA.

I'm not even joking: American Libertarians think we should all have access to any weapon the military does, such as personal nukes.

It's really just this simple. Still the vast majority of Americans (on all sides) can still afford food, clothing, energy, etc. When the average American really does start to feel the effects from the fascist coup, it'll be too late to push back in the levels that they should now. I give it like... 3-6 months until things really start to get violent.

Too many Americans are still comfortable and have a job, food, shelter, etc. Things will probably change once all of these things kick into motion and cause huge recessions, but by that point it'll be too late. That's the paradox of prevention.

We all know why they're doing this, but what is the surface-level reason for doing it? What could possibly be an "official" justification for this?

The Democratic party in the US is so wimpy. The one thing I respect of Republicans is that they fight for what they want. Often it's dirty, bad-faith, bottom-dwelling (and sometimes straight up illegal) behavior, but it gets results in a country this dumb and gullible. Democrats need to learn to stop compromising on things they care about.

So far, it's quite refreshing. However I miss some of the smaller niche hobby subreddits, as fediverse hasn't gained enough momentum yet. There are "channels" (?) that have like 300 people, and a post every other month, which is too small right now.

For sure, that's definitely a big American thing. The entire irony is that the term "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" was coined to say how you can't do that, meant to describe an impossible task. Somehow conservatives took it and then made it mean the exact opposite, which is exactly on brand for them.

sure but in every comment I made it very clear what I think of those programs

See how quick you were to go to the extreme and start strawmanning everything in your previous comment though? That's the problem.
