Using the thorn in modern English just looks pretentious, or like /r/im14andthisisdeep material.
By one pretentious Internet user.
Probably just the weird name. It makes it feel like someone’s weekend personal project.
I use it to self-host my own code and it works great, I’m totally moved off GitHub now.
Americans would do well to remember that the Roman Republic didn’t fall overnight, and it wasn’t just one person seizing power, but three different people over the course of 55 years.
The first, Sulla, retired from the dictatorship as promised but the republic never recovered from his actions or constititional reforms. Two generations and a few civil wars later the republic was finally dead in all but name.
