Yea. I have multiple stores of Nintendo stuff.

I have a 64 GB pendrive lying around and I want to store stuff. What can I fit on it and where do I find jt.

I want to focus on what's at highest risk of being lost. Be it games, emulators or other stufd

Pinetime doom is a thing?

[–] sleepybisexual@beehaw.org 1 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Ya, this search started withmye discovering the Tetris watch. Unfortunately j can't justify spending that much. I have a pinetime. Will look into tamogatchi ones

[–] sleepybisexual@beehaw.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

Well, I want to learn more as a whole. Would like to know what modern options exist.

So, my ass just discovered the Tetris watch and I am interested in wrist mounted games as a whole. Anyone know of any?

So, I have a pinetime and am considering trying out other firmwares. What are the options?

I know there aren't any but are there any options that include games or anything? Mainly just wanna learn what's avalible tho

Nah, locally ps3 systems are in the hundreds of euros at least :c they good, just out of my budget

[–] sleepybisexual@beehaw.org 2 points 3 weeks ago

Mainly golden sun and random gameboy games

[–] sleepybisexual@beehaw.org 1 points 3 weeks ago

Well, I guess its major, still somehow obscurish tho. I think people remember atsrit for 2600 stile games and nothing more (likely wrong tho)

The lynx is weird but I love handhelds

That's an FPGA thing. Youneed carts for it. If you into ROMs I can recommend most new ambernic stuff

[–] sleepybisexual@beehaw.org 2 points 3 weeks ago

Oh, I thought it was a standard up to ps1 system. Ya a pi or nodded android box is likely better

Taking inspiration from the let's discuss threads here. So. We all know PlayStation, Xbox. All that but what about systems from lesser brands? What do you like, dislike, what interests you?

For me, I've always found micro consoles interesting. Even if they suck in practice. Alps plug and play systems are cool. Was too young for both of those tho

I had thus Lexibook handheld. Imaging a GBA. Just shit. That's what it kinda was, generic games and stuffDied after a few years. I also had the leapster explorer and a leapster2 I got second hand, they were OK as a kid, but the hames are shit in kindsight. The explorer now has life as a crap emulator.

Currently I emulate on handhelds but not sure what that would fall under.

So, I want to use some cheats to bypass some grind in pokemon emerald. I'm on an ambernic so using stock firmware and the mgba core.

I saw a cheats setting in RA but idk how to use it

GBA suggestiongs? (beehaw.org)

I've been getting into GBA games and wanna try some more shmups, ones. Sorta like invader.

Either original or homebrew, I don't mind :3

So, I've been getting into GBA and want some recommendations. I've been playing advance wars and really like it, anyone know any similar games? (Not fire emblem because permadeath is an annoying mechanic?

And justgoogd GBA games in general

So I just updated eternity and I cannot see any posts. Anyone have a similar issue?

So, I've been playing Pokémon emerald. I beat a gym leader and saved. I rebooted after the save and lost an hour of progress.

I progressed a bit more from that state, saves TWICE and now it reverted to before that.

Is this a ROM issue? Is this an sdcard issue? I'm playing in RA.

Uhh, turns out it was just my dumbass using the wrong card

So, some of the games I try fail to work. The result is it saying there is no lua to load and gives a gray screen, just wondering if this is a core or ROM issue. The game in question is Trial of the sorceror. The menus work but when I start a level the crash occurs

Device in question is a stock ambernic sp in case that changes anything

So, I'll start. I have 3 devices that I'd say are tied for best

First, my n3ds xl. Beautiful handheld, clamshell, just a nice piece of hardware. If the cstick didn't suck itd be the sole winner. My 3ds has served me very well

I also like my rp4 pro, just a great all round emulation machine. And a functional second analog stick, its almost like analog sticks are meant to be sticks and not pencil top erasers

I also like my ambernic sp, got it recently. Looks cool. And clamshell so yippee

As for the worst, I have a few:

Mandatory jab at the switch. Not awful but cmon, the controls suck

The leapster explorer. Shitty dpad. Insane power consumption, it s afun gimmick, jut kinda useless.

Then I had this little system from lexibook, the "compact cyber arcade" or something. Was silver and white, appeared to be 16 bit. Really shit controls. Buttons weren't even labeled. It also just randomly died after about a decade, but I can't fault it for that I guess.

I also hate tiger handhelds with a passion. Like ignoring the awful game, the controls just SUCK I didn't even pay for the one I do have and I still feel scammed

So, I'm trying to add more games to my sp and am wondering how boxart works. Is it the same as retroarch?
