No, the algo for active/hot favor large communties, so smaller ones tend not to show up on the front page. It should be tweaked so smaller ones pop up more often. Reddit solved that somehow, I don't know what they changed though.

We need politicians who will actually live long enough to be affected by the consequences of climate change. Then maybe they'd suddenly care! Nah just kidding, they have AC on their yachts.

We need an incredibly heavy emissions tax that will bankrupt companies if they don't comply. There's no negotiation because not complying will literally kill the planet we all share for their personal profit. They are putting profit above humanity as a whole.

We've learned well at this point that LLMs are not replacing search engines.

Why does the US live rent free in so many European's heads all the time?

Yeah, still we lack variety because our algo doesn't do a good job of promoting smaller communities. I'd like a lot more niche subs get more popular rather then our few dozen or so that have gotten big, which is still a good thing don't get me wrong.

It always dies down after the initial hype. It seems pretty stable now. Compare it to pre-exodus and it is still like hundreds of times more popular then before.

Pretty much I think the only person who's opinion you should care about is your significant other you're going for. Literally who cares about anyone else's opinions lol, they aren't a part of your life.

I don't get why the only solution is to trust others to take care of you.

Society is built around people "taking care" of you in different ways. Like being a doctor, a teacher, an employer, the police, etc.

That's why we grew out of being caveman, because we're built to be cooperative with each other in our DNA. If we didn't, we'd either be small tribes or individuals and probably die out really fast. It's because we need others to rely on or we'd literally be extinct.
