That's similar to the way my mom usually cooks hotdogs and sausages.

  1. In a frying pan or skillet, put a little bit of water just enough to submerge the pan in like a couple of millimeters.
  2. Put the hotdogs (or sausages) and cook over a low fire.
  3. When the water has all boiled off, there should be some fat that remains, and that could be enough for a bit of frying. If not, add some bit of oil. The oil should just be enough to cover the frying pan in a thin film.
  4. Fry to the level of desired doneness/crispiness.

My method, however, since I'm lazy, is to:

  1. Microwave the hotdogs (or sausages) for a couple of minutes (I usually do two minutes in high)
  2. Remove the hotdogs (or sausages) and pat dry them with a paper towel.
  3. Collect the fat drippings (if any).
  4. Pour the collected fat drippings (if any) or some cooking oil into a frying pan. Again, there should just be enough oil to coat the pan's surface in a thin layer.
  5. Add the dried hotdogs (or sausages) and fry to the desired level of doneness or crispness.

It's usually the same result, but in less time and less worrying that the water has already boiled off and I'm already starting to burn the hotdogs (or sausages).

I've grown up eating unripe jackfruit as a vegetable, cooked in coconut milk along with a bit of protein, be it some pork or some dried fish. Never really taken a close look at which part of the jackfruit is being used though, but it's the part with the seeds. I enjoy finding the surprise (cooked) seeds since they're really nutty and complements well with the rest of the flavors of the dish.

Anyways, my point is that unripe jackfruit can make for a good savory topping for pizza.

Grew up in a sizeable metropolitan area, in a residential enclave surrounded by commercial areas. The "inner" streets in our area are a bit too narrow for car traffic, but was often used as a shortcut by pedestrians.

We mostly played games on the residential streets, pausing to the occasional pedestrian, or the rare car to pass by. If we do play hide and seek, we can play it through the narrow alleyways of our area or even the nearby commercial buildings (we always agree on the bounds beforehand though). Sometimes, we hang out in the nearby arcade. Rarely, we go to the nearby seaside (as the city is next to the coast) just to hang out, but crossing the really wide eight-lane roads cutting off the seaside makes it kinda rare.

I've often found myself in places I shouldn't be, like off-limits areas in the nearby commercial buildings, even managed to sneak inside one of the rooms of the nearby motel that one time. There's a lot of things to get lost in around our area and I took it for granted that most things are just a short walk away.

The place I hung out the most, however, is a bookstore that was just across the road from the end of our street. And since this bookstore is also near the arcade, I'd choose one or the other depending on my mood, and remaining allowance.

That'd be giving in to Chinese provocation. They've been doing this harassment in hopes of the Philippine government giving up and complying with the Chinese demands, or the Philippines getting riled up and firing the first shot. The latter will give China the "moral ground" or at least ammo for their propaganda.

IMO, what the Philippine military has been doing is a good countermeasure to this harassment: asserting their rights (as per the arbitral ruling, which China refuses to honor), publicizing Chinese aggression all the while building up its defenses and network of allies.

Punching a bully in the face might feel good, but this bully is also crafty and sneaky, that some care is needed dealing with it.

It's a subdirectory that was created on April 2023. Looking inside, it contains a bunch of APKs related to YT Revanced. I kept it there because I can't come up with a better location to move it to. That's basically the same story for almost all of the files that ended up staying in the directory anyways. However, I try to keep try to keep things clean.

Whenever I visit the downloads directory, I make it a point to try to remember the context in which the files ended up in there. If I can no longer remember the context, I delete it. If there ends up way too many files of "the same class" then I'll try to move them together onto a different location. But if it's a file or two that I can't move elsewhere, it's no big deal.

Subscribed | Scaled. But I sometimes change it to Subscribed | Top 12h for new content (but not too new that there's no discussion yet) or even All | Top Day if I want more.

I don't use a shower, rather, I have a bucket (or two) of water and a dipper. I can ruminate and think about things while giving myself a thorough scrubbing, and not consume any water.

I can take as much time as I need (much to the irritation of people I live with) without consuming any more water.

I’d be worried about not really being able to make my own decisions and not having someone there to help me out.

I don't know about you, but I sure hope I'd be able to check out before that time comes for me. Before my mind and body becomes too feeble, I'd like to be able to just nope out.

Even if it were possible, I still would not prefer to have any kids.

First off, I haven't even been a "proper adult", and probably would never be. How can I be expected to raise a child with the care and love they deserve when I don't even have my life sorted out? Even if you argue that I'd have to change once having a child, I've also seen people fail to change even after having children they swore they loved even more than their own life.

Secondly, we've already got enough people that are unwanted and abandoned. Why not take better care of people we already have now?

Lastly, parenting is a huge commitment. It's not just about you and your "legacy", but another life that will suffer for your mistakes. For those who are up to the task and willingly take on the responsibility, thank you and best of luck!

Because why not? I'm alive by default, and I'm too lazy to change that.

First OS: Windows 3.1 running on top of MS-DOS 6.2

First Linux distro: Ubuntu (forgot the version, but it was circa 2018).

If I'd count an OS/Linux distro that I've used even if not in a machine I own, it'd be Linux Mint of circa 2006.

NO

Neither do I self-identify as a tankie, I don't think anyone who'd identify themselves as tankies would think of me as one.
