Conservatism is sick, but elites like it.

They will become even richer due to the fact that they will reduce expenses on social development, will steal resources. But 'regular people' will not revolt against them, because "yes, they are right, fuck minorities, science and liberalism is bad", i.e. they already are ignorant (and they embrace it!) and uneducated.

It's like in any other authoritarian LMIC country, just fucking Middle Ages.

I have a little bit another perspective that I would explain, but it would be long text.

Maybe the US sucks too but...

Russia still at war with the West, and it's not some Russian propaganda fiction they show on their television. They are hyperbolizing problems, weaponizing disinformation and corruption in Western countries. They (maybe with the help of ruling class/elite, who have their own resources like media, but possibly didn't have this idea of being 'emperors') use psy-op tactics from WWII against civil population in peaceful times. Far-right on the other side are useful idiots of Russian intelligence agencies (read gangsters). And I assume, one of their goals is to make people in these countries socially conservative.

China is helping Russia at the moment. For example, they help them with internet censorship (hardware that even blocks VPNs) in Russia and other oppressive stuff like this.

Plus, oligopoly/monopolization, economic inequality in Western countries played a bad joke, to be honest.

There must be personal responsibility of the people who watch this junk like fox news and who voted for Trump, sure, but so that you understand who is helping to, at least, to finance all that.

Someone can tell me why they voted for Trump and right away after that abuse of power became OK and rule of law in US significantly deteoriated? In democracy it would be possible to right away impeach Trump, or re-count the votes, or investigate it, or something like that...

These authoritarian populist tactics, after those people who voted for them (or will be able to vote) will say like "and you said that this person is bad!"

They use the same tactic in Russia regularly. When politicians destroyed life of millions of people, after some time one poitician in Duma will say the right thing or propose a law for popular social issue, like "we're against domestic violence" (domestic violence is common in this shithole), or on "elections" they will offer sausage or money for a vote to population.

I don't know what they are trying to achieve by that, but maybe that people will restore trust in them, and will continue to believe that "BS-democracy". And after that these politicians who support dictatorship will continue to launder resources from the country. But in Russia they do that because they need people to participate in pseudo-elections, that will legitimize their fascist regime.

Is it American police or American mafia? So better not to trust any feds at all.

Awful. Rest in peace.

Thank you for this story, but anyway, "we have nothing to hide"

P.S. US once were a "police of the world" so I think it's harder to hide your identity (in case of privacy and legal things) there, or I'm wrong?

I don't have any information about The Telegraph.

I thought they are heavily influenced by bastard Muscovites

It's a news outlet that was described as conservative/right-wing, so maybe that's why it seems like that. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telegraph.co.uk)

I think this is an understatement.

By the way, Trump looks like Yeltsin. He was incompetent, abused alcohol and danced, while the oligarchs plundered the country behind his back, and here the story is similar. And Putin did not create anything new, he simply became Yeltsin's predecessor.
