Apple video effects in a WhatsApp video call (lemmy.one)

Today while I was on a video call with family using WhatsApp I noticed video effects when I used one of the signs. Then when I dug deeper to check i realised that it was a feature from iOS. If WhatsApp was end to end encrypted how are apple able to do this?

Why is skytube not recommended as much as newipe? (lemmy.one)

From my understanding new pipe falls back to internal API or web scraping if the official API fails. Is skytube doing the same thing? Just checking what are the options available out there and see how are they different from each other.
