But what about things like http://bird.makeup/? How do these bridges work?

Thanks that’s useful to know. Is the bird.maleup supposés to be working for all Twitter accounts? I’ve tries searching for multiple accounts with the naming below on mastodon and never find anything. Is it something they first have to activate from their end?

Right but approved by whom? I doubt Firefox’s X account is reviewing followers manually

Dear Fellow Europeans

Any recommendations on where to buy a small number “Buy European” stickers in various sizes and materials that I can stick to my laptop/phone?

When searching for relevant accounts, I often come across users on Twitter/X with a birdsite mastodon bridge such as @firefox@birdsite.monster, which seems to be the most followed Firefox account on mastodon.

However, this account has no visible posts, and when I follow it I get a “Pending”.

How does this work? Thanks

Interesting! Meanwhile, in the English version: “Garmin Ltd. is an American multinational technology company based in Olathe, Kansas.”

First time I hear about Garmin being referred to as a Swiss company - what’s your source? AFAIK, they’re American though and through.
