I don't know how widespread this is, but in the german army it is illegal to follow an order if you think it violates human rights. They specifically wanted to make a law against the "I was just following orders" excuse, you're still guilty.

I always felt like the fact that you get attacked by local fauna when you cause pollution was a comment on that. As in the planet recognises that you are not doing a good thing.

Some countries have laws against committing crimes abroad so they can still be charged at home for this reason, I'm not sure about the US though.

These are a lot of statements without sources. Also most people would disagree with the statement that a government that includes social democrats and greens is implementing a "far right agenda".
