If you only play one JRPG in your life, make it Chrono Trigger.
WhatWouldKarlDo
If you do, don't judge the franchise based on the first game. Silent Hill 2 is a very different game.
It was decent when it was released. It had some great ideas that were only really realised in the second game. I think playing through it these days would be a bit of a slog and I'm not sure I would recommend it for a modern audience. I might suggest starting with 2, and if you need to play more, then play the first and third games (in that order). Everything after can be safely skipped.
Your tastes are a little different than mine. It's rare for me to play a CRPG. But on your current game list, Silent Hill 2 stood out to me. There's a reason that the game is universally loved. I'm kind of waiting for the remake to do another playthrough, but it's honestly a pretty short game. I might also suggest giving the PC version a go. Silent Hill Enhanced Edition is reportedly extremely good, although I haven't played it myself.
Still heavily involved with stardew valley 1.6. I'm not playing any multiplayer games, but I have been dabbling with a bit of suzerain. I've pissed off pretty much everyone who isn't a radical leftist, and I suspect that I'm about to be ousted in a military coup soon. It's fun.
Probably start writing something about how the game romanticises capitalism, then pop off to the pub or play another day and never finish writing it.
Yeah. It's basically free DLC. It adds a lot of new mechanics and items, and some new in-game events. It's changed the game quite a bit.
Denuvo is a hard pass for me. Which is truly a pity, as it was #1 on my wishlist for a very long time.
Is this laissez-faire?
I'm playing a lot of Stardew Valley right now. It's been a rough year, and the new patch is exactly the kind of thing I want in my life right now.
For the upcoming year, I'm very much looking forward to Frostpunk 2 (I played the beta last week, and it was great), and the upcoming Victoria 3 DLCs/patches.
Yeah, when I started playing, many hundreds of hours ago, I thought oxygen was going to be the focus of the game. Then I started to lose bases to the creeping heat death... Then material shortages... Now it's basically a materials science sandbox, where I transfer heat around to do useful things. It's a really unique game.
A phenomenon I've noticed many a time, and I'm not a tinfoil hat wearing type. This is why anything smart gets removed when I want a serious talk.
