In the absolute universe Darkseid takes away the hero's "light". Superman grows up without his adopted parents, wonder woman without the Amazon's, and batman has no money. His mom is alive though.

It's all about money. They're making boatloads from the stock market dips. They won't care about immigration until it starts hurting them. Even then this administration will just bail them out
The absolute series has been good from what I've read
