That's why we need to do a self-embargo

lmao. Yes, it's one of the first things a visitor to NYC usually notices. Before garbage collection, they just pile up the bags of trash on the street

The majority of other US cities either have alleys where trash collection happens, or there's just more space for bins/dumpsters

Exactly. From a military perspective, Greenland is already a de facto part of the US empire. Trump will probably try to pay off the populace so they vote the correct way in a referendum. It's not like Greenland is full of Danish nationalists

The flags. The crumpling. The announcer. It's all such a perfect metaphor for the moment

There comes a point when not being a climate doomer is just sticking your head in the sand. IDK if we're quite there, but it sure looks close

The energy minister stressed that these discoveries open new horizons for economic development and support the kingdom’s ability to meet local and global energy demands efficiently and sustainably for decades to come.

Rare China L, but not unique

Xie Feng, China’s ambassador to the U.S, posted on X that Kissinger’s death was “a tremendous loss for both our countries and the world” and that “he will always remain alive in the hearts of the Chinese people as a most valued old friend.”

And yet Joe Biden was no Woodrow Wilson. In 1919, the 28th president suffered a serious stroke; a cover-up ensued; and Wilson’s second wife, Edith, allegedly performed many of her incapacitated husband’s presidential duties. By contrast, whatever you may think of his policies, Biden governed competently behind closed doors. Visitors can attest that during meetings, he commanded every detail and nuance of Middle East policy.

For context, Brazilian police is known for being extremely violent, shooting unarmed people, throwing suspects from bridges and even killing suspects with an improvised gas chamber;

Some military police also train with the IDF, so it tracks

the US is really relitigating 50's/60's conspiracy theories now?

I just want to live in a world where I'm not constantly fighting the urge to reference Dr. Strangelove

This is hilarious, because Utah naturally has fluoride in the water. Mormon god wants those freaks to have good teeth
