Believe it or not, it is legally possible to visit North Korea. If you are a US citizen, it is the US imposing the restriction, not North Korea.

Unfortunately, Putin is in fact a reactionary even if his hand has been forced into opposing the US in foreign policy, so this isn't entirely that far off for them

Just to be clear, the Dorley Hall series itself is volcel police approved — about as SFW as you can make a story about a forcefem torture basement without sacrificing complexity — but it does make metaphorical/allegorical allusion to the "existing literature" volcel-judge

According to another meme, anomalocaris is one of the most recognizable creatures of the Cambrian Explosion.

Opabinia is also another extinct creature from the same time period which is closely related, and was used as evidence for the existence of the Cambrian Explosion hypothesis itself, but is presumably less well-known.
