From compcon.app, the irl and in universe compendium/builder:

Make a tech attack against a character within Sensors. On a hit, for the rest of the scene, the first time in a round they move adjacent to an allied character during their turn or start their turn adjacent to one, both characters take 3 heat. They can end this effect with a successful Systems save as a full action. This can only affect one character at a time

You basically enforce social distancing.

What's extra fun is because it's any character, you can get some funky synergies with friendly mechs that want to have high heat

Also all of the HORUS aligned mechs and ability are all big on mythology (as you can tell from the "faction" name)

To clarify, it's not that the pilot can't escape it; you can totally hop out and try to brave the combat scenario on foot. It's just that for the mega meltdown to go off, you MUST be in the mech and accept your fate.🤘

I've sometimes described it the same as when someone goes skydiving and can't jump out. It's that same level of subconscious block, but to seemly mundane things (at least in my experience)

Welp, I know what I'm replaying this weekend.

(On second thought I don't know if you're quoting the game Uplink, or Sneakers. Both are good)

Remember doing that in grade 6. Felt like absolute heresy putting metal in the microwave (and a lot of kids reacted accordingly)

Well there you go. We also have Woolworths, Target, and Kmart still more or less thriving (certainly more than their northern brethren)

No, and it took years for the index to make it down officially too. One of the reasons I remember hearing was that for any warranty or repairs the detective unit would've had to have been shipped all the way to the US and back again which can easily be some $100 in postage for the round trip.

Eventually it became available thru EB Games (think Aus Gamestop) who I imagine can act as a intermediary and send units up in batches rather than one at a time

Mmmmm.... 3D printed instant noodles that perfectly fit your bowl so you don't have to break them into chunks...

Here's that video btw.

TL:DW Even in the US with its 120V electrical system the kettle is faster than gas or electric stove kettle (he didn't test microwave) but most people just don't drink tea often enough to warrant a separate appliance for it. He does go into the whole microwaving water in a follow up video here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=RpoXFk-ixZc
