There is this idea roaming around that things might have to get worse before someone who voted a particular way might have something occur to them where a possible point of self-realization might happen.
I'm, in a perverse way, happy to see this story. As it proves that type of thinking does **not ** happen.
As a sort of aside, I'm almost jealous. It's as if this mom is fully self-realized. And / or has been for quite some time. I'd say her therapist would be proud of her, but... well... I mean, who's taking bets on if this lady has a therapist?

Like, did her kids call her? ... Do they still talk to her? One of the big (maybe only, adjusts tie) reasons I talk to my parents is because I need to take care of them.
