It is fascinating how liberal media are all collectively deluding themselves into believing any of these court cases are going to stop these AI companies in any way.

Firstly, on the pure merits ML training is obviously transformative. A LLM is just obviously a completely different thing from an internet article. They are just completely different classes of things, whatever you might think of their respective values. Granted, copyright has been in past decades massively overused and applied to totally ludicrous things so it isn't impossible that courts make an idiotic decision.

That won't actually matter though because congress will instantly "solve" the problem. There are many reasons for that chiefly; Tech companies have a lot of power, and CHYNA.

Literally all of Big Tech did this a few years ago with SOPA/PIPA and that stuff. People are acting like this is some crazy unheard of thing like they just figured out what the internet is a few months ago.

Except it isn't actually the same. Bytedance can give the US government all the control literally everything they asked for and it hasn't been enough, because ultimately that is not what it's about.

You don't have to re-pressurize the whole tunnel, just make a seal around the train doors.

They 100% are doing it. It seems a bit crazy and I'm sure there will be virtual environments at launch, but they are breaking compatibility.

There is great disorder under heaven; the situation is excellent.

do you want all your youtube habits to be in the hands of the government?

They already are

Just for the sake of clarity, what exactly do you think will happen?

This, except its the other way around. The amount of American crying about cyberattacks is crazy given the amount of evidence they have provided.

There can be a revolution in Taiwan.

Don’t bother replying. I don’t want waste my time talking to people who can’t answer a simple question

I guarantee that you would be cooking up these conspiracy theories regardless of any investigations that China had allowed. They could have shipped every citizen of Wuhan straight to your house so you could personally interview them and it still wouldn't be enough.
