Do they? I don't think so, people are just gonna get bullied with different "reasons", it's not really about the clothes after all.

Nah, they're actually in favor of a full legalization (I mean in that case there is money to be made for companies after all). The coalition party blocking that in this case would be the SPD.

Having their interior minister being clearly in favor of chat control surely helps as well.

Yes, but not when the kid is 14 or 15. I think at that age it should be up to them and not their parents.
