It almost seems like security just ruins everything. From the Olympics, to flying to, apparently, the official residence of the Prime Minister...

I say go ahead and spend the money, it will only get more expensive the longer you wait...

Fully agreed. And probably more effective and feasible than actually turning off the tap. Reinvest the proceeds into green energy.
