I agree generally with Ken's sentiment but I actually think that, while the media does fear-monger over the wrong things, they should not be looked at as overall fear-mongers. I think they could do a much better job of highlighting the points at which the Trump administration crosses boundaries, instead of reporting on incidents in a way that normalizes them. This was nearly an hour after he was shot, when everyone was still crouched down and confused. The video posted by the NYPost says it was 50 minutes after he was shot. I think the guy was trying to recreate the energy from the Trump assassination attempt, when people chanted USA, maybe not realizing how serious it was.
