Capitalist pretending to like competition. Dude has to justify why they should give him a gorillion dollars when you can give a small group in China access to their technology and produce better results with a fraction of the cost

The Joe Biden classic: "someone should do something about this"
That's a good sign. People in my workplace still won't acknowledge there is a problem, let alone what do we do about
I doubt this is going to be a long lasting crash. It's probably just some people cashing out because it was going to happen at some point and they were just waiting for an inciting event.
So like, is China taking in any immigrants?
Instead of the space race we're getting the AI slop race
Their plan was to import talent while defunding schools here to give the capitalists tax breaks. China is able to retain their talent though and put them to better use than a capitalist economy ever could.
I think the issue is everyone has their own personal definition of what capitalism is. To some it just means free markets. For people really unaware, it just means the existence of money ( I think that's what that physicist YouTuber thought it was). The ambiguity is convenient for the exploiters because if you don't understand the system, you can't change it.
Kind of wondering why China needs to compete in this realm? Unless their is something from LLM's that improves the productive forces in a country, I don't see any other reason.
At least the space race had something to do with a strategic military advantage
Just like every technological advancement. The problem isn't the technology but how capitalism puts it to use
