It's the other way round IMO. It's incredibly racist but the misogyny is even more. I have lived and traveled in US and the racism exists outside of major cities but misogyny is universal. Even in liberal cities you can be sexist in the open, in the hiring practices etc.

Yes. Quebec city to Toronto is one straight line and building a high speed railway on a straight line is damn easy. Costly but engoneering wise there are not much challenges.

I dont think they are tankies. I am an anarchist and I believe communism is as evil as capitalism. I am lemmy.ml so I dont think they are tankies.

His line of thinking is that other than US no one can absorb Chinese production. Which means either China have to budge or they have to go to deep recession or listen to orange babboon's demands. The fact is China have stockpiled for this situation and there is a very high chance that they will move towards Taiwan and shift the economy to wartime. I dont think US can win a war against China but orange babbooon is so confident on US ability to win a war against China in Chinese waters all alone without NATO/ India/Russia etc and along with Australia and UK.

The best alternatives to most corporations are worker cooperatives. Anarchist communes have implemented this in past during Spanish civil wars etc. Modern day equivalents are things like REI.

The biggest problem with our country is the damn supply chains. We need to tear down the north south(CAN->US->CAN) supply chains we had in place until now and replace them with East->west supply chains. To get an aluminium can, we export raw aluminium and US makes cans and sends it back to us. They have been taking us for a ride. We get nothing in return. Hopefully Carney is able to incentivize industries which would let us move production back to Canada. Elbows up!

US working class is not going to get any benefit of this assuming that US is able to bring the manufacturing back. The robots are more cost effective than paying US working wage in many cases. They are going to automate the factories.

Now coming to bringing back manufacturing, the carrot approach usually works better. Its possible to move some part of critical infrastructure back. Example is semi conductor chips. What tariffs do is opposite. Tariffs forces countries to move supply chain away from US and eventually moving away from US dollar as reserve. Now normally this would result in a war. The problem is US cant go to a war with China. There are 3 nuclear countries in that region. SEA wont even help US against China. Same goes for India and Russia. Its not afghanistan anymore. US loses its bases in entirety of Asia as a result of this and dollar will be thrown out of the equation.

America is more sexist than racist. The problem is its incredibly racist to begin with in first place.

EU should target the services. US exports services like google, meta etc than goods. If that happens, US goes to depression.
