Why stop at online. The amount of pensioners and vulnerable people wasting their money on horses and fruit machines is pretty depressing.

On the one hand, I strongly believe in personal freedom (as long as you're only harming yourself) and if people want to spend their money, that way it should be up to them. On the other hand, some people are vulnerable and need to be protected from themselves.

I've only tried cocaine once but I thought it was super over rated yet worryingly moreish, would only recommend if you're rich.

I agree, especially if it's not in a built up area. There definitely something about being able to see the horizon.

I had my first root canal recently. Honestly it was no worse than a filling, the most painful part was simply having to lie still with my mouth open for so long.

(I hate the injections, but I always hate injections, worth it to go through the procedure pain free though)

Apparently the fastest known winds in the solar system are 1,100mph and on Neptune.

About time. I still won't be giving my custom to P&O on principle tho.

It was you saying that they were turning the adverts off, now you're saying they can't. So to call my research "armchair" is quite ironic.

The article you shared said that it's only creators not in the YPP that don't receive revenue but you either didn't read it or just decided to omit that information based upon your predetermined conclusion.

A quick Google says you're wrong, I'm not an accountant for YouTube so I couldn't prove otherwise. Presumably if there was zero benefit to creators, they would all turn the adverts off, rather than just some of them.

I'm aware that they only get a small percentage of the ad revenue but it's like that in every business unfortunately. When I buy a loaf of bread at the supermarket, I know that only a tiny fraction of a percent the price will go in to the checkout worker's or farmer's, or the baker's paycheck, but I'm not going to boycott supermarkets because of that.

A couple of ads isn't the end of the world for most people. Whilst I understand that they are undersirable, I also want the creators I enjoy to be able to get paid.

Some of the creators I enjoy are quite niche and they put their time, effort and money in to making the content. I don't think a couple of ads is too much to ask to help pay them back.

It's not a new thing, I remember something called the anarchists cookbook (I think) that wasn't too hard to find twenty years ago which is illegal to possess.

Edit: it is illegal to possess in the UK, apparently it's legal in some other countries

Most of the obvious choices will be posted so I'd like to give a shout-out to tuna and red onion, it sounds wrong but is surprisingly moreish!

I just wanted to say that you shouldn't be getting downvoted. You've asked a question that isn't editorialised, appears to made in good faith and asks the opinions of others.

You've prompted some very good answers here.

The weather has finally warmed up here and now there plenty of super annoying houseflies. They're way to fast to swat and have an annoying habit of landing on you.

I've tried Google's suggestion of water/vinegar and a bit of dish soap in a bottle, but they don't seem to go for it at all.

I'm up for trying anything, please make suggestions!

Edit: Thank you to all for your suggestions. So far I've tried the idea of spraying them with surface cleaner which appears to work well

It's already well known at work that I don't just not like gore videos but that I hate them and actively avoid them.

A colleague sent me a video of a man being murdered by axe via WhatsApp to my personal phone on my lunch break. Before I opened it I asked if it was a video that I would want to see (because I know what sort of character he is), he implied it was fine.

Despite my suspicion I took his word and watched it. I immediately scolded him, he then made light of the situation, I told him that it wasn't funny and that if it ever happened again I would be making a formal complaint immediately.

A couple of minutes later, another colleague came in to the mess room, the guy that sent the video made fun of me for not liking the video in front of them. I told him that he was making fun of me and that I wasn't ok with that.

Do I have the right to not be sent murder videos? What would an employer do if I made a complaint?

It wasn't a very long game but I had 0 inaccuracies, 0 mistakes and 0 blunders!

The London is the first opening I've learnt, I've been practicing it for a while now and I'm feeling like I'm getting good at it.

Maybe it's time to learn another opening. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I already have a good tool kit, drill, needle files etc, so I'm mainly looking for a kit that doesn't needlessly double up on tools that I already have but I'm here for your advice so I'll look at anything you recommend.

Ideally the kit would have enough bits and pieces that I could store it and keep it for future punctures also, but I could just order a multiple of single use kits if that is what you'd recommend.

Please let me know! Thanks.
