This actually seems interesting. The training data will be archived in a blockchain. So tech bros can throw money for them at training costs. Artists could get some stake in the model.

They both are against free comercial use of the model as they want the money. So we will see.

There are many areas where this could help artists immensely as there are certain steps that could be automated like: auto shading or auto picture to vector conversion.

How can we make anime look even generic than we've gotten today?! Oh, okay, generative ai! At least then, we won't have to pay those dastardly animators to animate anime

There are so many styles of illustration to pick from and mix that your anime doesn't have to look like anyone else's unless you want it to. This also isn't going to solve animation, but what it can do is lead to more manageable workloads for workers so they aren't dying on the job.

You mean no manageable workloads because they will be fired so we can have the studio just pick a style from a list instead of making any kind of artistic input wooo

I'm open to discussing this, as long as you can keep the tone of the conversation respectful and productive.

I see this opinion everywhere now, congratulations, you have identified on some level that there is an aesthetic to low-effort generations that you associate with AI and you have developed a pavlovian response of disgust and moral outrage. Meanwhile, you are unknowingly consuming without question, hundreds of pieces of art that were made with generative AI guided by the deft hands of an artist embracing new tools.
