I'm not sure if i can drop links here & if it's against the rules, but for the sake of spreading awareness, avoid the following two "kdrama" streaming websites (these worked just fine previously, speaking from experience, but not anymore unfortunately.)
- kissasian(.)com(.)vc
- myasiantv(.)com(.)lv
(added the parentheses for safety purposes)
Here's what happened:
I visit the websites in hopes of finding a kdrama i'm looking for
I get met with the usual "cloudflare verification page"
But this time, for some reason it fails, twice, then provides me with a "troubleshooting" process, and a code box with some command for powershell, mind you, the code box isn't even allowing me to manually highlight it with my mouse and copy whatever was written. (red flag #1)
Screenshot:
The only way to copy was to press that blue "Copy" button on the right side.
Being cautious, I opened a new tab and pasted whatever i just "copied", turns out it's this... long ass line of maliciously looking code (red flag #2).
*>*I'm not a coding or cyber security professional, so i ran that code through some ai for clarification, and it confirmed my suspicions.
I won't be pasting the copied line of malicious code here for obvious reasons.
This post serves as a warning to everyone else, hoping it'll get added to the unsafe-sites sections, maybe here and on fmhy; everyone stay safe out there and always stay cautious.
Mods, I kindly ask you to allow this post even if it's against the rules, if it could save even one person out there, then that's a win. Thank you.
