Hard to see the screen during daylight, that's why I use light mode during the day
I use light mode at work because dark mode makes me sleepy :(
Tumblr users with acne in the early 2000s: (I'm guilty of it)
On the bright side, you probably looked like Galadriel.
On the bright side
Nice one 😁
I'm most beautiful when you can't see me
the camera did a good job at auto metering for the wine bottles 😂, or was left on manual with no TTL
On all my devices I automatically switch light / dark mode / blue light shifts based on sunrise / sunset. Granted my computer desk is against a window, but I find that my electronic screens generally aligning with outdoor brightness works pretty well for me

I remember reading that light mode is better for extended reading, so that's what I lean toward. My personal experience is that reading white text on black background can be a little more straining, but it wouldn't surprize me if others feel differently.
huh, my eyes tire more quickly when there are light backgrounds.
I believe, it mainly has to do with dark-theme screens quickly becoming illegible when there's outside light sources. It just isn't bright enough to overpower the glare from the sun and such.

She is glowing like an angel over here

I have a theme on Linux that has a sepia/beige tone, and I don't need a dark mode.
White backgrounds in applications and websites suck, especially with modern monitors. Conversely, some IPS monitors have so much lightbleed compared to VA ones, that you also need to readjust the color theme for both monitors.
Hey, my life is dark enough; don’t knock the little bit of light I can put into it
That is genuinely one of the reasons why I use light theme. Like, have you see how bright the fucking sun is? My light-themed screen is still a joke compared to looking outside the window. So, I'm trying to help along my circadian rhythm by at least somewhat simulating the sun on my screen.
It’s useful when I need to walk around a dark room and don’t want to turn my flashlight on.
Have you ever noticed switching to a light program while your on video and suddenly you don’t look like a darkness dweller.
I use dark on my phone, to save battery, but light mode on mh desktop all the way
I've been using dark mode 24/7 on all my devices for like 7 years now. I've tried a few times going back to light mode because text looks sharper but I keep getting headaches seemingly everytime I use light mode for more than a couple hours at a time.
Same. I can’t imagine going back now, my eyes hurt when I look at a colleague’s screen for a minute
Well, it's just personal choice/preference, so it's good to have an option.
I’ve set my screen so everything is grey/black and white.
Hey now! Modus Operandi Tinted theme looks great and is easy on the eyes!
