Nope is the right choice. It could be a monster, a crazy person, an influencer, or a prank. No one wants to be involved with any of those.

Those thing are infectious.

Influencers are worse than monsters & crazy people. Actually influencers ARE monsters & crazy people.

Can we crank the nightmare up by making this a flash mob?

Don't do this in the US. Too many folks with guns who want to be the guy who takes out the first zombie demon

Years ago I saw this video of a guy with a disability where his legs had grown essentially backwards, so his gait looked, let's say "non-standard." It's rare, but it happens. He lived somewhere in Latin America and the video was him getting body painted like a demon and the popping out of alleys and around corners, chasing people. Everyone, adults and kids, lost their minds with fear. I can't find the video, but temping the first half of fight or flight like that seems like a bad idea.

My favorite is the dude who dresses in a skin tight green suit, and ding-dong ditches hotel rooms. He stands at the end of a long hallway, and when they open the door he runs at them in a similar posture to this video. They freak the fuck out and to back in their rooms. But it's only gonna take one of them not being able to get their key card to work before he gets punted square in the upside down teeth. Lol

Me continuing forward: "Yeah, this might as well be how I die. Whatever. I don't care anymore."

"Oh the camera man is filming a tikytock, better go a different way to not ruin their fun"

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (2 children)

You know you can prop a camera up and film yourself? My wife does that all the time for her little TikTok dance things.

[–] fleton@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Quite true and they probably did the zoom in post. Was just trying to make a humorous alternative observation.

You should divorce her for being a sociopath.

gotta love the universal nope

I'd love to know which of the sound effects were real. That would make a big difference to me. That and whoever is holding the camera.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world -1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Doubt any of the original sound is on there, be far more boring. I don't mind slight embellishment like this!

Camera is likely propped up somehow, rest is edited in post. My wife does exactly that filming her TikTok.

Damn I could so kick that fucking thing in the crotch! Woooooo!

...and that's why you're not allowed on the playground anymore.

"Content not viewable in your region."

Hilarious.

Imgur sold children's personal data and geoblock to try to evade the fine.

[–] AtariDump@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Got a link on this where I can read more abou it?

[–] davidagain@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Uh, I heard it in the news.

Iirc, the ICO (data protection regulator) preliminarily found that imgur was selling user data to advertisers, having been profiling users for age band (including children).

They then threatened imgur with a fine if they didn't agree steps to protect children's data, but imgur decided to protest by geoblocking the country.

ICO say that liability for previous illegal sale of children's data does not disappear, and imgur blame it on the much less popular online safety act, which is weird because the investigation started well before the act came into force.

Imgur were also shitty because they deleted a vast amount of older images because the posters didn't have a subscription with them, which kind of betrays the whole original point of the website.

I think they also sacked the original creators, but I may be mixing them up with another rapidly shittifying webcorp.

Ah that is fucking funny

Should have known the French were behind this.
