I've always been excited about the Framework laptop and the mission so I got myself one and installed Fedora 42 as that's the "first party" option (Yes, I'm already working with support on my issues).

It has been a complete nightmare as the title says. The first issue was the laptop kernel panicking about 2 minutes after being suspended for several hours (reproducible on a Live CD!). This seems related to the pretty common triple fault / s2idle issue. I was able to "solve" this by applying amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x610 as a kernel option.

I think I'm in the clear, so I start using the laptop a little more, and I found a new and fun issue which is screensharing (haven't tried more than Slack yet, but we'll see if Teams also can cause it later when I do my engineering call) causing a kernel panic consistently within minutes.

Am I just unlucky? Are people having a better experience than I currently am? If you're one of those people, can you tell me what kernel you're using right now? I'm on 6.17.7 at the moment, but I've tried 6.17.5 and higher and have had no joy. Are you all using 6.12?
