Petro's the current Colombian president and left wing enough to be interested in Zohran becoming mayor. Nothing else really, just leftists keeping tabs on leftists.

He's a former M-19 Guerrilla, significantly further left than Zohran given that he defends Venezuela while Zohran has called Maduro and Cuba dictatorships.
