Computer has been a bit wonky last few days with either Firefox crashing out or Explorer freezing. Malwarebytes didn't find anything, and I set Defender to do a full scan but this happened in the middle of that. Got an error pop-up from Google Drive, which I have set for file streaming. But I just decided to shut down the computer for now.

googleapis usually google drive sync.

https://www.npmjs.com/package/@googleapis/drive

So you were uploading files to google drive.

The other way around - it says 75GB download. The point stands, though.

Downloading. I'll have to check my Drive settings, and I guess look in my drive to see if there's any suspicious new files in there, as I didn't think I even had that much in it.

So I believe it was the Defender full scan crawling the Google Drives mapped drive letter and accessing every file it found causing every file to be downloaded and cached. So I'm rerunning the scan with all my cloud drive agents disabled.

Are you running a weather app on your desktop?

Just going off the name of the googleapi there but it seems a weather app may be having issues and downloading a lot more data than it should.

Not intentionally or that I'm aware of!
