Yeah, the "elusive creators" is a tough nut. If some company went bankrupt 10-20 years ago, and no trace of who holds the IP etc. that's a lot of detective work.

Also, wtf was that last paragraph:

Imagine, you're living in a tent in the wilds of somewhere like the Scottish highlands. As you snooze, the zip gently winds down, startling you into fight or flight mode. It's Tom Selleck. 'Oi, people want to play Links: The Challenge of Golf without running into weird popping audio,' he declares. You reach into an old tin and hand him a bit of paper which reads 'Do what you want with it'. He leaves. You accidentally forget to check that none of the berries you've picked for breakfast are poisonous.

I'll roll perception.

Are we in combat yet?

I am sad to think there are titles lost because of this. GoG is doing amazing work.

also do we need to roll a save for those berries? cause now I'm kinda nervous. lol

just because one person you believe to be the keepers of the code says it's ok. doesn't mean it's the correct person or all the persons permission is needed from, and modifying or distributing the code yourself is still quite risky.

That's journalism right there.
