Why are they doing that.? Dumb question i know
I wish I knew. Maybe they dont like that we federate with all instances, including not popular ones. Maybe its because we blocked 16 million chinese ip addresses last week because they had tons of bots scraping the instance.
Just trying to run a small instance with good performance over here. :)
Maybe just AI crawlers? Or the fact that the instance hosts some conservative content, which is not going well with many lemmings
Yeah could be. There is a trend right now on social media where people think they need to push down and try to remove opinions they dont agree with.
Seeing this stuff freaks me out over the coming Orwellian state that will crush all free thought (in discussion boards like these, by shutting them down) through the might of its resources.

I think we are already there in some ways. But maybe more similar to Brave New World than 1984. People being unhappy but using things like media streaming and social media to get relief from the daily grind.
