Mikeno has passed the line of demarcation entering Gaza's territorial waters, unimpeded, and way ahead of the pack, on the tracker. Absolute legend.

Organizers in Spain and Portugal are in the preliminary stages of preparing a second Global Sumud Flotilla mission with even more ships, as requests from ship owners to join the GSF movement grows and requests to join a ship as crew flood in from all around the globe.

Does anyone have info on how the change of weather season might increase danger for upcoming flotillas? I thought that GSF was organised somewhat in a hurry because September is the last month before the weather makes it too dangerous to take the journey on sea.

GSF News: ‼️ Breaking Now: 25+ Global Sumud Flotilla vessels continue on their mission to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza, undeterred by Israeli aggression.

It may well be that some reach Gaza before they can intercept them all.

Other updates from the past hour, not confirmed from elsewhere: Italy’s largest union says it's calling a general strike on Friday in protest over treatment of the Global Sumud Flotilla.

GSF News.

Update: Israeli occupation forces have deployed speedboats, larger warships, and even paragliders against the remaining Global Sumud Flotilla ships attempting to reach Gaza.

Emphasis added. The irony.

I’m sorry but where the fuck are all the alternative media outlets?? Why aren’t they live? I know we’re all guessing but surely they have better contacts than we do. For a channel like Middle East eye, electronic intifada, drop site, etc etc this must be the biggest news they could ever break. And they’re all sleeping in??

‼️ Breaking: The Global Sumud Flotilla vessel "Mikeno" has slowed its progression drastically. We're monitoring a possible interception or attack. It is unclear what's exactly going on since communication systems remain off.

Some updates from GSF News telegram for today:

Fisherman off the coast of Gaza were able to fish for the first time in months because of the Global Sumud Flotilla’s distraction. The smiles and joy on the faces of these Palestinians has warmed our hearts.

A heartwarming video

Apparently a flotilla flying isntreal flags has appeared, no info yet on what this is. Link to video

Update on the new Freedom Flotilla

The Freedom Flotilla is set to reach the shores of Gaza within the next 72-96 hours. We will monitor their progression closely, even more so as they get closer to the High Risk Zone.

Protest news:

Mass protests are beginning to erupt all around Europe. A specific focus is on Italy, as people take to the streets in almost every city participating in a General Strike to stand in solidarity with the participants of the Global Sumud Flotilla and the Palestinian People of Gaza.

Italian media is reporting that there is at least 60,000 protesters marching together through the streets of Rome, standing in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla and the Palestinian People of Gaza. The closure of 75% of the city and roads has been announced.

Head of Italy's largest union tells media: "Today, the entire country of Italy is an extension of Gaza; We will march throughout the night and all day tomorrow".

Other updates:

A Greek coast guard vessel has taken position next to the Freedom Flotilla ships, escorting them through International Waters off the coast of Crete.

The ship Marinette is still going! Livestream here.

Video message from a person aboard.

GSF News:

The Global Sumud Flotilla vessel "Marinette" has reestablished their live stream and contine to sail towards the coast of Gaza on their humanitarian mission to deliver aid to the Palestinian People of Gaza.

We will continue to monitor the Global Sumud Flotilla vessel "Marinette" providing breaking updates on the vessel throughout the night and early morning hours.

We anticipate the captain of the "Marinette" will at some point follow the same plan that the captain of the "Mikeno" used to push further into Gazan territorial waters. This would mean going completely dark; turning off all GPS, transponders, and the livestream. Updates will continue to come.

[–] gingerbrat@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

While she may be alone, the Marinette still being there, actually sailing towards Gaza, is such a huge thing. May they arrive savely, may they be safe, as of now it's 80 nautical miles to Gaza palestine-heart

Any news about protests in Europe?

Updates on the flotilla have ground to a halt. Also strange that so many outlets stopped their coverage 6+ hours ago and never came back. It’s morning in Europe again I thought they’d come back online

‼️ Breaking: The Israeli Navy has informed us that it will consider continuation to sail towards Gaza a violation and will arrest all participants.

We are continuing on our way to Gaza, and our sailing towards the sector is legal.

‼️ Breaking: The Israeli Navy issued a warning to our lead ship Alma, informing it that they were about to enter a naval blockade zone.

‼️ Breaking: One Global Sumud Flotilla ship carrying reporters has been cornered off and boarded by Israeli Occupation Forces.

‼️ Update: All ship to ship communications are now down.

Greta speaking from the Alma: link

Edit. ‼️ Update: Communication to the Alma has been restored.

Please go to Soliman's post requesting aid from Gaza for his family. If you can, donate. Otherwise, leave a kind comment in solidarity to let him know that they and their people are not alone.

[–] StillNoLeftLeft@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago (2 children)

From GSF News:

45 civilian ships set sail from Hatay, Turkey to Gaza; flying Palestinian and Turkish flags in support of the Global Sumud Flotilla.

There's a RT video of them on the channel, the tiniest ships.

Another update:

Three vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla remain at sea, still sailing towards Gaza after the Israeli navy seized and towed the majority of the ships to the Port of Ashdod. The Global Sumud Flotilla vessel "Marinette" is currently the closest to Gaza's shores.

This excludes updates and progress of the "Mikeno".

Please, everyone, if you can read this, you can leave a comment on the post linked above. Some words of kindness for a family resisting an ongoing genocide.

If your financial situation allows, you can donate to help them survive. If not, please comment! It doesn't have to be complicated, just express your love and support! I'm sure it would mean a lot to Soliman and his family!

If not, just leave a comment from the heart, and do what you can to support the cause in other ways. Volunteer, protest, organize by joining local solidarity groups. Solidarity is an act of love, an act of revolutionary defiance of the state of things and they are, and the true basis for progress towards a better world.

Free Palestine! From the river to the sea! End the genocide! palestine-heart palestine-strong

Meteque currently under attack, 5th confirmed attack I believe (3 confirmed intercepts). There seem to be some vessels being harassed on and off water/spotlights without being boarded at this stage.

Speculation on my part, maybe a tactic to slow the flotilla because Israel don’t have the capacity to intercept everyone at once.

Al Jazeera.

Israeli violations to be sent to World Court as onboard lawyers record seizures

Lawyers aboard the flotilla vessels are documenting violations by Israel of international humanitarian and marine law.

The illegal actions by Israel’s navy will then be sent to the UN’s International Court of Justice, Al Jazeera’s Hassan Massoud, onboard one of the ships in the Mediterranean Sea, reported.

“We are monitoring all the cameras and we can confirm that several boats are still trying to reach Gaza. Even if just one of the boats reaches Gaza, this would achieve their goal to break the siege.”

He said another flotilla is now sailing towards Gaza after leaving from Sicily, Italy, signaling activists are continuing efforts to reach the starving Palestinian people and put a spotlight on Israel’s total blockade of food, water, and medicine.

Emphasis added.

Big update, 6 confirmed intercepts now.

[–] StillNoLeftLeft@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

‼️ Breaking: Two drones are currently circling the Global Sumud Flotilla at medium altitude.

Previous updates:

‼️ Breaking: Greece and Italy in a joint statement urged the Gaza flotilla to halt and accept the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem's aid delivery plan, calling on Israel to ensure safety and consular access.

‼️ Update: After Italy and Greece, the Spanish government also requests the flotilla not to enter the maritime area under Israeli control and clarifies that the Spanish Navy ship accompanying them will not be able to enter this area and assist.

⚠️ Breaking: We've been informed by the Greek and Spanish naval vessels they will also drop off escort duty in the coming hours.

‼️ Opinion: These countries only support the end of the siege, destruction, and killing of gazan citizens up until they're directly involved. It's a shame to see the two faced approach from sovereign countries who once stood with us, refuse to stand by us as we complete our mission.

I cried watching all those pre recorded "I have been kidnapped" videos go up on this telegram channel. These beautiful, brave people really represent the best of humanity.

From Global Sumud Flotilla: ILLEGAL INTERCEPTION AND ABDUCTION OF VOLUNTEERS October 2, 2025 MEDITERRANEAN SEA – After Israeli occupation naval forces illegally intercepted vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla —a peaceful, non-violent convoy carrying food, baby formula, medicine, and volunteers from 47 countries to Gaza—hundreds of participants have been abducted and reportedly taken aboard the large naval vessel, the MSC Johannesburg. This was after they were assaulted with water cannons, doused with skunk water, and had their communications systematically jammed in yet more acts of aggression against unarmed civilians.

Additionally, several boats were reportedly stopped by a chain-like barrier in international waters where Israel has no jurisdiction, just as they have no jurisdiction over Gaza’s waters and shoreline, compounding Israel’s continued war crimes and illegal blockade.

Adalah lawyers, who represent the flotilla participants before Israeli authorities, have been given minimal updates and have not been informed on whether the estimated 443 flotilla volunteers, who were forcibly taken from their vessels, will arrive at Ashdod, where they are expected to be processed under illegal detention.

This is an unlawful abduction, in direct violation of international law and basic human rights. Intercepting humanitarian vessels in international waters is a war crime; denying legal counsel and concealing the fate of those seized compounds that crime. We demand that governments, world leaders, and international institutions immediately intervene to secure information on the missing participants, guarantee their safety, and demand their immediate release.

Our commitment remains clear: to break Israel’s illegal siege and end the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. Every act of repression against our flotilla, every escalation of violence in Gaza, and every attempt to suppress solidarity actions only strengthen our resolve.

Mikeno, sailing under the French flag, may have entered Palestinian territorial waters according to AIS data, but remains out of contact. Marinette, sailing under the Polish flag, is still connected via Starlink and in communication, carrying a total of 6 passengers on board.

Edit: organisers apparently saying Karma not intercepted. I imagine there’s probably some confusion with flotilla vessels being approached and attacked but not seized.

~~Tracker just updated with a 4th confirmed interception. Boats stopped so far: Sirius, Alma, Adara, Karma~~
