On Android 16, using compact scrolling. Videos open as a greyed out box. You have to open the comments to get video playback as shown above.

I see this happening with cross posted videos and you have to scroll down to the original post to see the video.

Happening to me as well for a long as I can remember using the app. Currently in Android 16.
