Salam! Nama saya Starri. Saya orang Amerika. Saya tinggal Kanada.

Saya Bahasa Indonesia tidak bagus. As such, the rest of this post will be in English (I'm taking lessons through the embassy in DC, but I've only had two so far).

I am a member of a volunteer Skyrim mod team that's making an island from Elder Scrolls lore intended to be based off of parts of Indonesia. We're starting to finally hit our stride as a team. I was brought on the team two years ago because of my interest in and access to gamelan music in my area. As such, I'm one of their composers. I spent two years studying Balinese and Javanese gamelan at a local university, and now I'm studying Sundanese degung style at my grad school in Canada.

I feel like I've finally gotten enough of a hang of some gamelan styles enough to start writing fantasy versions of the music for use in our mod. I wanted to have someone from Indonesia who is familiar with the styles to help with this process to ensure I'm doing so respectfully, and to make sure the parts sound reasonably believable within the fantasy framework I've created.

Anyone who can help would be greatly appreciated! Really, any help of any kind would be appreciated, even if it's just feedback. If you hate this idea, let me know.

I won't share too much of the specific details of the mod here because I don't want to advertise it (since that violates sub rules). DMs are open if you have specific questions.

Terima kasih! Sampai jumpa!
