Possible to configure firefox to have no search engine at all? (feddit.nu)

I had this stupid idea after reading this to experiment with my internet habits. I'd like the address bar to only be used for URLs.

found the solution: set keyword.enabled to false

very helpful thanks. I have separate searchbar and wanted address bar to be strictly for urls only.
