Pierre and Scheer has a lot to say about freedom of speech but get real quiet when Canadians get threatened.

is it the same praising that is like the journalists getting fired for pointing out what he has said in the past?

Hey cunty US administration: I'm glad your ignorant shitstain Nazi mouthpiece got capped.

You also deserve death, every fucking one of you in power now, but it shouldn't be as quick.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

I'm actively discouraging people I know from visiting. Not everyone knows what's going on, but the should. Shit is so fucked up.

[–] SereneSadie@lemmy.myserv.one 30 points 2 days ago

Joanne Rowling literally believes transgender people should be persecuted.

By her own fucking definition, she is a terrorist.

I hope the black mold leeches into her eyeballs.

Freedom of speech means freedom to rejoice when nazis die.

I'm not advocating murder but I'll laugh my fucking ass off when it happens to a piece of shit like Charlie Kirk.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Edit: carotid Kirk*

"I want to underscore that foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country,” Landau said in a post on social media platform X."

So I guess we'll be deporting all the zionists then...right?

I'm glad that nazi dickhead is dead and hope they take out the rest as well. I'm really scared now if i ever plan to visit that shithole.

[–] chocosoldier@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

im so fucking tired of "wahhh violence categorically bad." violence is a tool. there are times and places that it is the appropriate tool to use. like when a totalitarian regime is crystallizing, for example.

[–] nik282000@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago

I fully support and condone republicans shooting other republicans.

They know they will lose midterms unless they polarize society beforehand until the only valid viewpoint is the autocracy they are creating. Even though they are inherently incompetent, even experience can beat that incompetence after losing their Iowa supermajority. More and more of them are now inline and are aware of where the country is really heading.

[–] Evkob@lemmy.ca 63 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (4 children)

Things that are violent:

  • Imprisoning and deporting innocent immigrants

  • State-sanctioned murder of black people via police

  • Legislating away the human rights of trans people

  • Forcing women to give birth against their will

The real illiberal, fundamentalist, totalitarian terrorists are on the right. I didn't shed a tear for Kirk and I wouldn't for PP or JK, either.

US can get fucked at this point. They became the thing they swore to destroy -> communist, totalitarian, fundamentalist and no longer "land of the free", but oppressed.

Communist? The fuck you smoking bro.

[–] orioler25@lemmy.ca 14 points 2 days ago

Lmao, the Communist United States. My guy, that's where fascism comes from. That's where they make it. It's always been a genocidal and extractivist state and capitalism emerged through its existence. Ffs their nazis are killed by other nazis because there's just that fucking many.

[–] bytesonbike@discuss.online 8 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

That's not true. America was never that good. Since WW2, America has stood for "We're the best, fuck you". It's why America became World Police. The many wars to line their pockets, the selling of arms to violent dictators, causing instability in South America.

Land of the free was always warped bullshit. Native Americans knew that forever. Blacks during slavery. Chinese Americans during the gold rush. Japanese Americans in WW2. Most of the US in Vietnam war/Iraq war.

America has become "that thing" since forever. But like Brad Pitt, we got good PR to cover all of our abuses. Maybe less now.

Melissa Hortman and her husband were assassinated. THEY WERE ASSASSINATED.

[–] Amuletta@lemmy.ca 32 points 3 days ago (4 children)

When Paul Pelosi was attacked, the MAGAts jeered and made up stupid lies about the attacker being his gay lover. An 80+ year old man attacked in his own home by a right wing nutter and they thought it was funny.

Now they are crying like little babies because TinyFace got shot and sane people are pointing out that he was quite okay with people being shot to protect the second amendment.

US can lick my arse

[–] nocklobster@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Now I want to spray paint a caricature of the event on the US embassy.

[–] Binzy_Boi@piefed.ca 26 points 3 days ago

Oh no, the guy who said he doesn't mind people getting shot, gets shot.

I'm just waiting for a video playing what he's said about gun control and political violence with the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme playing to the news coverage of the shooting after.

I don't condone this, but I'm not saying it isn't funny either.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 21 points 3 days ago (23 children)

The free speech tard minds at work here.

When one of theirs gets shot, we celebrate it, but when one of ours gets shot, we'll threaten anyone who isn't in mourning

Are they going to start sanctioning individuals all over the world? They did it with the judge in the Bolsonaro case, and it caused problems in Brazil generally. I suppose if they do it to large numbers of people outside of the US, it would end up forcing countries to stop cooperating generally with the US.

Side note, by her own definitions, JKR is illiberal. She is a fundamentalist. She is a totalitarian. And she definitely believes that some of her "political" opponents, trans people, should be punished with violence and death. What a telling post.

And PP sucks as usual.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

it would end up forcing countries to stop cooperating generally with the US.

Trump's actions (and those of the people he appointed) have already set that in motion.

Governments around the world are making agreements among themselves to avoid doing business with the US.

The boycott USA movement is citizen led and is growing across the world.

The Americans will find themselves increasingly irrelevant on the world stage, though they may not bother to notice for a while.

[–] npcknapsack@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

So, when I say this, I mean something more than simple citizen led movements. Those will curtail some trade, for sure, and I'm all for them.

In this case, I'm referring to the types of things that we plebs have no control over. There are a fair number of banking rules, for example, that are mandated by the US government in order to do business with US taxpayers. Some number of years back, for example, a bunch of banks globally just stopped allowing US taxpayers to have accounts, because of US laws that didn't allow time for the banks to make the changes required, and imposed high fines if US taxpayers held accounts that weren't reported to the US. (I'm pretty sure that US taxpayers are allowed bank accounts throughout the world again these days.)

Should the US try this kind of thing on a larger scale, I think that will either lead the banks towards debanking many individuals throughout the world as the US imposes sanctions on more regular citizens of other countries, a two-tiered system where the banks attempt to comply, or larger scale choices to not cooperate with the US on a financial level, which would affect every country that own American debt.

So this asshole gets literally what he deserves as he said school shootings where just a fact of life and he got killed in a school shooting it's just poetic justice. But two democrates get assassinated and they could care less. They are already blaming the left even though they don't know who shot Kirk, I mean Trumps attempted "assignation" was done by a republican.
