everything is mostly over now, the line between protesters and mob were blurred in the end hours when governmental building were targeted like supreme courts, National banks, etc
The rage had been specifically against the elite and their properties during the day so the sudden shift in target at the end was very suspicious. It was immediately condemned by the people with several conspiracies floating around about who was behind the attack. felt like mob were going after court, custom office, etc and destroying documents and other evidence deliberately. Currently the Maoist are being blamed for the destruction since they suffered the least damage. Some of it might be even true, just because they called themselves 'Maoist' doesn't mean they are in principle.
Luckily the chaos didn't last long. Nepal army was deployed at 10 pm and order was quickly restored. The suspicion of some foreign power suddenly hijacking the entire thing is entirety valid but don't think thats the case. The army patrolling the street might make it seem scary but they are just providing support. Their arrival made it so that people can sleep in peace.
Where is the juche party in all this? They control one city no? A pretty major one at that.
The juche party isnt part of the gov coalition goverment so they are fine i imagine
I assume they made some kind of noise? Its a pretty big event after all.
Yeah no damage done to them, but also they might have been too small for anyone to notice.
Edit: a public toilet is burned in the area they controll, the protesters didn't find any real target....
spoiler
And also few government offices but that is less funny
All small political parties have been quite. Since the target was the political establishment, they are probably wary to also be blindly attack right now.
My guess is they are waiting for the interim government to be formed and only then focus their effort for the up coming election.
I mean, incredibly militant communist in-fighting is kind of the Maoist trademark, no?
So, like, about this Nepal shit, is the ban on social media thing because the platforms aren't following whatever law the government passed, like in brazil a few months ago?
If so can I get a feel of how many people here agree that, when the motive for a protest is seriously just wanting to go back on facebook, then fuck this whole movement?
Literally these kids, myself included, could and should go without this shit

something like that but the ban was just a part of series of event that made Nepal explode.
then fuck this whole movement?
well kind of, i dont know how to go about the movement. Its good in part where the ossified political establishment is purged, and bad because there was no real movement or purpose other that removing the political establishment. This not a revolutionary movement that should be cheered on or a color revolution to be condemned. People were angry, they have been angry and all the photo and videos of dead children made it so that no one came in their defense.
Literally these kids, myself included, could and should go without this shit
yeah they should, and if it was only about social media ban then people will just use VPNs until things got sorted out. They will be annoyed but not ready to die for it.
Both, the platforms were banned because they didn't comply with the law, and cause WhatsApp was the main method of communication for a majority of the country its banning led to real impacts of people's ability to work etc
But yeah I agree, there probably was some treat withdrawal animating atleast a few people
I really doubt anything will come from gulf States discomfort from Qatar strike. I don't remember his name but an Iranian official made a very good comment about this "do not believe anti semitic lies, gulf states have more lobby power than israhell ever did. All the" Jewish lobby" talk is to deflect blame away from the fact that gulf states want this". All of this was done with the consent of the gulf states
I really hate to say this but the Gulf States and other Pissreal neighbours might be relieved for the "Palestinian Problem" to finally just go away so they can get on to business as usual.
Edit: While also avoiding Pissreal's very vocal "Great Israel" project, that they would all be affected by. To their own peril.
“Palestinian Problem” to finally just go away so they can get on to business as usual.
Yeah they are not as committed to the cause as some like to think. Similar to iranian libs who used to see the rest of the axis of resistance as roadblocks to their prosperity and baggage of a more "primitive" ideology, not to mention the persian chauvinism that is present in the country.
In the end Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE all have their own sub-empires under the american empire and in the end they will choose their own survival over their ambitions.
They're happy to throw Syria and Yemen under the bus if that makes them a quick buck.
Gulf States are worse than Iram of the Pillars, they already treat human as below worthless, they have nothing good to give us, so of course they would throw other arab states under the bus - solidarity is anathema there.
These reformist snakes really are something else:
https://twitter.com/fresh_sadegh/status/1965494485703594035
“Not providing details” is in fear of domestic backlash inside Iran and the threats of Iranian lawmakers to impeach Araghchi.
And guess what? The cherry on top of Iran-IAEA deal is: the parliament is closed until September 28.
First, as always, this is not the "reformist snakes". You might recall that every single Iranian administration does shit like this and the entire political class, reformist or not, is incapable of not reflexively turning to the west.
Second, I stand by the "what the fuck else are they supposed to do?" take. You proceed with these negotiations because the alternative is UN sanctions. The Iranian economy absolutely cannot afford that right now, and the continuity of the Islamic Republic depends on meeting the material needs of its people. Plus, China follows UN sanctions (weak), so if Iran is finally deciding they actually want to buy Chinese weapons they need to do this. Keep in mind it was the non "reformist snake" faction that refused for years to build the military connections with China it needed because of their anticommunism.
Today in hellworld news:
So today I was working during the night while listening to the Ecuador - Argentina football match for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. I wasn't paying much attention, I didn't really care for the match, I just wanted to listen to something while I drive around and do deliveries.
During half time I usually mute the headphones and tune back in around 15 minutes later, however this time I decided to keep them on because I wanted to hear the half time commentary, but in the mean time the radio station was on the commercial break. Suddenly, I heard a message which went more or less like this:
"If you have a relative living illegally in the United States, you will see them again very soon. Tell them to download [name of the app that I can't remember] so that they may deport themselves safely. I am Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security in the United States. We can provide economic aid as well as free tickets to your relatives so that they may return legally, if not, we will find them and we will deport them by force. Under President Donald Trump's strong administration, law is respected and our borders are secure."
I was COMPLETELY shocked to hear this on the radio. It's absolute dystopian to hear the US-version of the Gestapo telling random ass argentinians to snitch on THEIR OWN RELATIVES so that they might get themselves DEPORTED. I really couldn't believe what I was hearing, it's absolutely insane.
The message was spoken in very clear castellano, with a strong Porteño accent (Basically the one of Buenos Aires). It couldn't have been Noem, I don't think she can speak fluent castellano. It must have been a local woman hired for the job or AI.
What in the ever loving name of fuck man, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS. Literal nazi propaganda in my fucking radio station. For clarity, it's Radio La Red, it's AM, I listen to them only when there are football matches because I like their commentary... but to hear straight up nazi shit my fucking god.
They're playing pro-Trump propaganda campaigns on argentinian radio, it's just... insane. Also, there aren't a lot of "illegal" argentinians in the US, a lot of them travel to Miami to work in bars and what not, a bunch of them are also educated white men who work in financing and whatnot and live with, I assume, green cards or something, or get work visas. But to have ICE propaganda here? Aimed at who? I think this is a large scale campaign aimed at ALL Latin America, this ad must be playing everywhere... also, who the FUCK approved it?
And I think it's trying to sell the idea of deporting people to Argentina. Parts of milei's government have played with the idea of "setting up a wall in the northern border [with Bolivia and Paraguay]" to "stop the flow of immigration", same messaging as in the US. However immigrants are not a huge part of milei's agenda, but the remnants of whatever will be left after he's gone will surely pick it up.
Jesus christ, this is no longer a meme, it became reality...
Sounds like the app should be flooded with bogus claims.

It's been like this for a while, i will occasionally tune into the radio to hear commercials about disaster relief processors; shoes with airtag compartments so you can "know where your child is", etc.

One of our main lines of funding has been cut, and if we don’t act now, MintPress could be forced to shut down.
Why doesn't Russia, Iran and China not fund alt media outlets? They're gonna claim you are no matter what, so you may as well do it
Russia does some of it, but they pick the most hare-brained cranks they can find for the most part instead of investing in reliable spokespeople.
Based on what I wildly speculate are Russian assets, you've got the those ranging from least offensive (Danny Haiphong, Alexander Mercouris) to most egregious and cranked up (Haz, Jackson Hinkle, Armchair Warlord, etc etc). Why can't they just invest in a basic journalists like Iran does with various resistance outlets? Why the twitter pundits?
Because realistically, the Russian government has nothing to gain from accurately informing people in the west. They have no interest or hope that if they are better informed they will end imperialist violence. It's more useful for them to have cranks push all kinds of weird positions and destabilize political discourse which makes western leadership less resolute.
Why can't they just invest in a basic journalists like Iran does with various resistance outlets?
They do. They have plenty of professional journalists working for RT, Sputnik and other outlets. There is no evidence whatsoever that any of the people you mentioned are "Russian assets". Maybe entertain the possibility that Russia has nothing to do with them and they are just randos on the Internet doing their thing.
Trump condemns Israeli attack on Qatar
Article
In a statement posted Tuesday on Truth Social, Trump said the Israeli bombing inside “a Sovereign Nation and close Ally of the United States” did not “advance Israel or America’s goals.”
“I view Qatar as a strong Ally and friend of the U.S., and feel very badly about the location of the attack,” he wrote, emphasizing that the strike was “a decision made by Prime Minister Netanyahu, it was not a decision made by me.”
Trump said that as soon as he was informed about the operation, he directed US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to warn Qatari officials, but noted the alert came “too late to stop the attack.” The president claimed that eliminating Hamas was a “worthy goal,” but expressed hope that “this unfortunate incident could serve as an opportunity for PEACE.”
Trump has since spoken with Netanyahu, who told him he wanted to make peace, and with Qatari leaders, whom he thanked for their support and assured that “such a thing will not happen again on their soil.”
Qatar’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, denounced the strike as an act of “state terrorism” and warned that the emirate “reserves the right to respond.” He accused Netanyahu of undermining regional stability for personal gain and said the incident had derailed ongoing US-brokered mediation efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages.
The White House called the strike an “unfortunate” incident. Trump said he has directed Secretary of State Marco Rubio to finalize a Defense Cooperation Agreement with Qatar, which is designated a “major non-NATO ally.”
