News and Discussions about Reddit

Welcome to !reddit. This is a community for all news and discussions about Reddit.

The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rules

Rule 1- No brigading.

**You may not encourage brigading any communities or subreddits in any way. **

YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things.

Rule 2- No illegal or NSFW or gore content.

**No illegal or NSFW or gore content. **

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here. This includes using AI responses and summaries.

MODERATORS

I’m trying to research more ways to ban evade or punch through moderator mutes on Reddit. One interesting method I’ve discovered is creating a new community with a post targeting the mods of another subreddit, then inviting each mod to become a mod of the new subreddit, where they view the post.

Warming up accounts is a massive pain in the ass these days (thanks AI and OnlyFans), so finding new methods to utilize fresher accounts and still get in contact with other users is a worthwhile endeavor. Are there any other techniques I could be using?

I had a bunch of socks back in the day that I used to spread my activity out with. Had to up my game as the years go on because even if you're not using them for ban evasion or vote manipulation, it will never not look sus to moderators because they just want to have a profile they can build on you. They recently just rolled out an ai tool that does exactly that.

My last proven methods were joining a bunch of the sub's on this list and then only voting on posts for 3 months. No comments, only votes. After that time period begin commenting on r/newtoreddit and posting on karmafarm subreddits. I couldn't tell you which ones are still viable, they'll only net you around 15 karma/post. After a month, you'll have enough karma to clear any entry checks and seem legit. Delete your posts on the farming subs, people will dig through your account and they will get opinions about stupid things.

Since it's such a long process to get started and reddit hands out permabans at a glance, you may as well start a new account warming every month. Use a VPN and change servers. Check your accounts ban status by viewing yourself with your other accounts. NEVER interact with yourself, not even votes. That's the easiest and first tell. Try not to subscribe to all of the same communities each time. Never use the reddit app, only browser or something like red reader which logs in to each account separately without linking them.

You'll know one of your accounts has been bagged by moderators because your comments will no longer be visible when logged out. Reddit doesn't notify you anymore, part of their new strategy. They just want to keep undesirables in a vacuum.

Good luck, hope there's still something of use to you in that god forsaken place. Oh and keep tabs on the r/modhelp sub, it will keep you in the loop of new techniques they roll out. Also it's just funny.
