What I am listening to seems to ebb and flow with the time of year. Early September seems to be violent Femmes for whatever reason.

I just got into a Violent Femmes kick too. I only ever owned this album and Hallowed Ground. I should try some of their more recent stuff.

Hallowed Ground was my absolute favorite when I was much younger. The Blind Leading the Naked is also good.

This is one of my all-time favorite songs, such a goddamn trip

I always prefered the angrier side of Violent Femmes.

In retrospect there was always something incel-y about his lyrics; some are positively questionable. Not this one though.

As somebody once put it on social media: 100 years ago incels wrote bad poetry, now they wage online wars against women and vote fascist. The difference is self-reflection.
