On her most popular Telegram channel she has issued "decrees" to absolve her more than 36,000 followers from bills and debts.
That has resulted in followers losing their homes, cars and possessions, according to Christine Sarteschi, a professor at Chatham University in Pittsburgh and an expert on extremism and the sovereign citizen movement - a broad collection of anti-government groups who evade taxes and make up their own fake legal systems.
Does anyone have any news reports etc of those clowns getting sentenced or losing their possessions? I deal with them on the daily and being able to show them something which demonstrates that they're being scammed would be a great help.

Hilarious, all legal systems are fake in so far as they're just made up procedures and words etc, they won't necessarily protect you or have any basis in material reality beyond being constructed.
Yes, they can have actual impact, but let's not pretend they are part of nature or anything.
Just because something isn't a law of the universe doesn't mean it isn't real. English is an essentially arbitrary set of rules and sounds, yet I am using it to transport my thoughts into your head, where if I used my own fake words instead we'd glarf bort tinp ko esag.
Or, more on point, there's a world of difference between "won't necessarily protect you" and "definitely won't protect you", where sovereign citizen bullshit is squarely in the latter category.
