That actually came out, eventually. My vote for that generation is Daikatana.
Steam seems to be down right now and PS doesn't let you buy the game. The number of people wanting to buy the game right this moment must be unimaginably high
GoG also has it listed and their servers seem to work.
HL3?
Well, HL3 was never real so it doesn't count
Bloodlines 2 should be in the crew as well, though it is also actually coming out now.
