KJU looking like every disheveled uncle at a wedding. Loving the way he holds the cigaret though. looks like he is about to dispense Juche wisdom or tell me off because I'm out of smokes.

They don't seem to do tailored clothing in DPRK. They have this really baggy aesthetic to a lot of their fashion.

What a fantastic-looking train

He takes his armoured train everywhere. He does not fly. He follows an extreme version of trueanon rules.

I have to imagine a US base in Occupied Korea or Japan would love to stage an "accident" and claim they thought it was "an enemy North Korean missile attack" or something just to gloat about getting him

Ngl, it's a bit worrying seeing that he doesn't have any bodyguards (not in the pics atleast)

I think the photos were taken in Korea, they were published by DPRK news, and also this is his private train.

That's a relief. I was just kinda scared because when a controversial (even if we like him, a lot of other people don't) figure enters a public space, they usually face a lot of hostilities ranging from protestors to full-blown assassination attempts. But I should be more sure in knowing that Comrade Kim knows this and has plans in place for any perceived hostile reactions to his visit.

China would never let anything happen. It would be an embarrassment of astronomical proportions and a catastrophic diplomatic incident for them to allow a foreign head of state to be harmed while on Chinese soil.

The security measures that China has taken for all of the attending heads of state are probably several times more thorough than any of the attending countries could ever take to protect their own delegations. If there's one thing China knows it's security.

Honestly, Kim Jong Un could probably safely travel to the summit without any of his own guards whatsoever, but that's just not done if you're a head of state, it would reflect poorly on his country and its prestige.
