The post is more talking about a Carl-Schmitt-style "state of exception" despotism. Executives are helpful for fast responses, but the general framework of their responses should be democratically decided and accountable.

Idk, I've seen successful grassroots group dinners where three categories are designed (savoury, sweet or drink) are established and people write down what they'll bring via copy-paste of a chat message.
