It's not Lupis.

Oops. Forgot to reverse the polarity.

Isn’t that ghostbusters?

[–] lividweasel@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

That’s total protonic reversal. It would be bad.

See that's why I only take shuttles. That way I can only die the old fashioned way - violently, or at worst horribly via radiation. But not by being scrambled up with Frank from Delta Shift.

I now have Tuvix inside of me.

Seriously how regularly were transporter malfunctions a plot point? Seems like at least a dozen times in TNG alone. Like how would you rely on such a clearly flawed technology, especially with something like your life at stake? It’s like some tech bro was pushing that shit onto the federation through his shady government contract deals. And everyone at Star Fleet is face palming and terrified they will have to go on an away mission. Course they never show that part. Was it Barkley who had something like transporter psychosis?

The Federation cares more about constantly telling itself that it's a perfect utopian society (and sending heavily-armed "exploration" crews out into the galaxy to spread their gospel) than it does in actually fixing their shit.

Yeah, the federation can sometimes act like shitlibs. I’m certain that colonization in the trek universe is driven by people who get annoyed with the smugness and need a fresh start.

The doctor says they cannot be removed without killing you.

Look, ~~unless you want to spend some time in the pattern buffer, don't complain.~~ it'll be sorted out soon.

I've often wondered: (Andy Kaufman^Kafka^)/(O'Brien)= Y ...but then the first bit just spirals with variables, and I quickly lose Trek. 🤷🏼‍♂️
