I have moments where I think I’m surprised that something stupid matters to people, then I remember how stupid some people are. Thank goodness conservatives are such active participants in the things that matter most

There's that, and there is also a massive ecosystem of griftfluencers endlessly manufacturing outrage and pumping it straight into millions of anger addicts, every hour of every day, from Fox News at the top, all the way down to Uncle Jeff on Facebook. The need to get high short-circuits intelligence every time.
Bland logo? Not okay. Bland food? Totally fine.
it's been a spell since I've been to the US but the only thing I remember about Cracker Barrel is the triangle/golf tee game they had at the tables. The food? I don't remember anything about the food or what I even ate. but that game? I was all over it.
I actually preferred Bob Evans breakfasts. I remember as a kid whenever my family visited the states I would insist we go to Bob Evans for breakfast.
